What is advanced provisioning allowance (APA)?

Only applying to crewed yacht charter, advanced provisioning allowance (APA) is the extra fee that you pay in advance to cover the cost of provisions for your charter. The APA is paid on top of the charter fee.

APA, or advanced provisioning allowance, is the additional fee that you pay in advance for the purpose of covering the costs of provisions for your charter. This additional fee is made in addition to the charter fee that you pay. The best way to think about the advanced provisioning allowance is as if you had opened a petty cash account for your captain and chef, since it'll let you track your charter expenses easily while you're on board.

The APA will take care of all the day-to-day expenses for your yacht charter operation. This includes everything from your food and fuel costs to your customs and port fees. You will also find that it covers any special requests or requirements you might have while you are onboard.
